Patterned Background


I added more detail to the background.  I plan on changing it a little because I’m not crazy about it.  I think it’s a little WHOA! and I’m concerned that it will compete with the subject.  But I’m going to mess around a little more.

I thinned down the paint with turpentine and used a tiny paintbrush and a q-tip to apply the paint.  If you click on the pictures you’ll be able to see the pattern a little better, but it’s still not totally clear.   Sorry.

    His hands are SOO good! Also, I love the detailed design, but I also agree that it takes away from Eric and the deer. Looking good Mel!
