Fawn and Dreamboat: ARRRR—GH!

Remember this big guy?

I’m working on it again.  What started out as a hope to finish this painting as soon as possible, has turned into a ten month project.  While I haven’t been working consistently on this piece, it has taken the prize for the longest completion time of any piece I have ever done!  Here it is after a couple of hours of work.

I changed some of the colors in the background because, although I loved the cool and wintery feeling of the piece, I wanted to take it a little closer to nature.  The new greens that I added also warm the piece up a good deal.

In other news, Steph and Minion are working with me in my studio today and it is glorious!

  1. Holly Niphakis says:

I like the warmer colors…the previous color set looks more lifeless or more twilight in comparison.
